About This Fluid
Apec DOT 4 is a premium specification synthetic brake and clutch fluid recommended for the hydraulic brake and clutch systems of all cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles for which a non-petroleum based fluid of this type is specified.
It mixes safely with other brake and clutch fluids conforming to the same specifications, and is fully compatible with ABS systems. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point – most manufacturers recommend replacement every two years.

Important Compatibility Notice: Not suitable for vehicles with mineral oil braking systems, such as certain Citroën models – these require LHM fluid. This is the standard Apec DOT 4 fluid and is not the higher specification Apec DOT 4 ESP variant. Brake fluid damages paintwork, so wipe up any spills immediately. Check your handbook or message us with your registration number if you are unsure.
