Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 18/08/2026
These terms govern the sale of goods by GT Motor Parts, operating from 2 York Street, Bury, BL9 7AR, United Kingdom, via our website gtmotorpart.co.uk. Placing an order with us means you accept these terms in full.
1. Who We Are
GT Motor Parts is a UK-based automotive parts retailer trading from 2 York Street, Bury, BL9 7AR. You can contact us by email at info@gtmotorpart.co.uk or by phone on 0161 258 3676.
2. Orders and Contract Formation
When you place an order, we will send an order confirmation by email. This confirms we have received your order but does not mean we have accepted it. A contract between us is only formed when we dispatch the goods to you.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for example where a product is unexpectedly out of stock, where we suspect fraud, or where a pricing or listing error has occurred. If we cancel an order after payment, you will receive a full refund.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery costs are shown separately at checkout before you complete your order.
While we take care to ensure prices are accurate, errors can occasionally occur. If we discover a pricing error after you have ordered, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
4. Product Compatibility and Fitment
Please note: we do not currently offer an automated vehicle registration (VRM) or make/model/year lookup tool on our website. Product listings show compatibility information where we hold it, but it remains your responsibility to confirm a part is correct for your specific vehicle, engine code, and trim before fitting.
You can message us your registration number or full vehicle details at any time before ordering, and we will manually check compatibility for you free of charge. See our full Compatibility & Fitment Disclaimer.
5. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer buying online, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason, without needing to give one, within 14 days of receiving your goods.
You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us once you have told us you wish to cancel. Once we receive the goods back (or evidence that you have sent them), we will refund you within 14 days, including the cost of standard delivery.
This cancellation right does not apply to: sealed items unsuitable for return once opened for hygiene or safety reasons (for example, opened engine oils, chemicals, and fluids); goods made or personalised to your specification; and parts that have been fitted or installed.
6. Faulty, Damaged or Misdescribed Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If a part is faulty or not as described, you have the short-term right to reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery.
Beyond 30 days, and for up to six years in England and Wales, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial/full refund for defective goods, depending on how long you have owned the item and its expected lifespan. This is separate from, and in addition to, any manufacturer warranty.
7. Returns Process
Full details of how to start a return, expected timescales, and which items are excluded from return are set out in our Returns & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Delivery
Delivery timescales quoted at checkout and on our Delivery & Collection page are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates. Risk in the goods passes to you once they are delivered to the address you provide, or once collected in-store.
9. Trade Customers
If you hold a GT Motor Parts trade account, purchases are additionally governed by our Trade Account Terms. Where there is a conflict between these terms and the Trade Account Terms for trade purchases, the Trade Account Terms take precedence.
10. Our Liability
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from parts that are incorrectly fitted, fitted by an unqualified person, or used other than for their intended purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of use of a vehicle, except where this results from our negligence or breach of these terms.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law.
11. Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer, or your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence within the UK.
