CarPlan Blue Antifreeze & Coolant - 5L
Product Overview:
CarPlan Blue Star Antifreeze & Coolant is a concentrated, mono-ethylene glycol-based formula designed to provide exceptional year-round protection for your vehicle’s engine. This antifreeze conforms to British Standard BS6580 (2010) and includes corrosion inhibitors that protect metal components within the cooling system. It is suitable for use in a variety of vehicles, including classic and vintage models, and can remain effective in the system for up to two years.
Key Features:
• Corrosion Protection: Contains inhibitors to prevent rust and corrosion within the cooling system.
• All-Year Protection: Provides reliable performance in both extreme cold and hot conditions.
• Long-Lasting: Effective for up to two years when used as directed.
• Safety Additive: Includes Bitrex to help prevent accidental ingestion.
• Versatile Use: Suitable for classic/vintage vehicles and conforms to BS6580 (2010).
Directions for Use:
1. Preparation:
• Drain and flush the cooling system with clean water. If sludge is present, use a radiator flush product like Carlube Radiator Flush for thorough cleaning.
• Inspect all hoses, clips, and joints for leaks. Tighten or replace as necessary.
2. Application:
• Remove the radiator or expansion tank cap.
• Partially fill the radiator system with clean water.
• Add CarPlan Blue Antifreeze to achieve the desired level of protection, referring to your vehicle’s handbook for the total volume of the cooling system.
• Replace the cap securely.
3. Circulation:
• Start the engine and allow it to run until it reaches normal operating temperature. This helps circulate the antifreeze throughout the system and removes air locks.
• Turn off the engine and let it cool down.
4. Final Check:
• Check for leaks and correct them if found.
• Top up with water if necessary to reach the recommended fill level.
